Industry 4.0

There's a lot of talk about Industry 4.0, but we are exploring and

deploying the digital transformation of our production ecosystem

where it brings the most value to our customers.

Intelligence

Connectivity

Automation

Transparency

We have always been a supplier that has led the way in the use of technology and automation. After all, it’s not easy to compete with most of your manufacturing in France without high levels of automation.

Visitors regularly tell us we are among the most automated facilities they have seen.

We have also always been customer led. Listening to what our customers want in terms of where and how we make their products is how we have built our business. These factors led us to develop a plan that we call Digit’ALL.

From EMS to iEMS...

Our vision for Industry 4.0 is to transform our practices using new digital technologies to move towards iEMS (Intelligent Electronic Manufacturing Services)

4 successive steps

Why Industry 4.0?

What added value for our customers?

We believe it is essential to use digital technologies to better serve our customers. For all our customers, traceability is a major issue, and for many of them, especially in the automotive industry or in embedded or critical applications, it is an absolute imperative.

Total transparency in real time is the next level we are aiming for for our customers, an essential condition for establishing a lasting bond of trust.

We call this strategy "the glass factory". It will provide our customers with complete visibility of the progress of each of their products through the manufacturing process. All technical and logistical information will be available in real time and in just a few clicks.

Glass factories

Adding a layer of intelligence to this solution will allow us and our customers to make better production planning decisions, while being able to plan for changes in demand or unexpected disruptions, such as supply chain risks due to unpredictable events.

Digital transformation

Part of our Digit’ALL  strategy will involve the digitization of all our processes.

This means that every machine, every process, every part of the Supply Chain will be digitized and connected, in order to offer a fully integrated manufacturing ecosystem that will generate value for us and our customers.

We believe that the future of EMS requires a fully digitally transformed enterprise.

What does an iEMS look like?

Today, EMS do much more than simply assemble electronic boards, they offer increasingly broad assembly services and are involved with their customers in all phases of the product lifecycle, from ideation to end of life.

We’ve always seen “services” as the key part of “electronic manufacturing services” and we firmly believe it will remain the key.

However, iEMS will be very different from the current EMS model. Customers and suppliers will be exceptionally close partners, sharing data and ideas to develop better products and put them into the hands of the consumer with the least amount of friction, quickly and economically.

Digital manufacturing ecosystems will use human and augmented intelligence to make better decisions in design, automation, online configuration, Supply Chain planning and more. Meanwhile, our customers' customers will have access to more data and more choices, allowing them to order a customized product online and know exactly when and how it will be produced.
